Student testimonial
Whether it’s the piano part of a favourite song, a film theme or a classical piece, lessons begin with what excites you, then build the skills to make it happen.
We’ll define what you want to play and make a practical, enjoyable route to get there.
Technique, theory, confidence or coordination, we’ll identify what’s in the way and tackle it together.
Alongside playing, you’ll build a real sense of harmony, melody and expression, so music makes more sense in your hands.
Posture, hand position, coordination, notation and sight-reading.
Classical, jazz, pop, film music and more. We’ll use repertoire that keeps you engaged.
Improvisation, composition, ear training, expression and performance skills, with grades available if that’s your goal.
Not sure what’s right? A trial lesson is a good place to start.
Arrange a trialI first fell in love with the piano after hearing the Doctor Who theme played by my first piano teacher. Since then, I’ve followed the music that resonates, from Bach and Bartók to Gershwin, Glass and Reich.
As a performer and composer, I’ve learnt how to listen, create and adapt. That’s what I bring to each lesson: a thoughtful, flexible approach that helps every student find their own spark.
