About Me
Music has been the focal point of my life since I was 6 years old, and it's still a rich source of joy and inspiration.
I remember the first time I was inspired to pursue piano playing when my primary school tutor showed me that it was possible to play the theme music of Dr Who. He showed his arrangement of the tune, one that involved difficult cross-rhythms between each hand. Having been shown fairly unexciting one hand exercises up until that point, I was blown away by the music and by the idea that I could learn to play it! Since then, I've followed the music that excites me in that same way. Bach, Bartok, Stravinsky, Gershwin, Glass, Reich, Nyman... and many more!
Over the years, I’ve trained extensively as a performer and composer, always seeking out music that feels like it resonates with me. This journey has taught me not just how to play the piano, but how to listen, how to be creative, and how to adapt to each student’s unique way of learning. I love helping students discover their own excitement in music, just like I did.
I've performed for numerous concerts, and collaborated with world renowned ensembles to create new music, including Britten Sinfonia, Bozzini Quartet, Fidelio Trio, and the Guildhall Session Orchestra.
